APPROVED IT GUIDANCE

Based here, not covering here

Most IT companies serving the East Rand are based in Sandton, Midrand or the northern suburbs and cover it as an outlying area. We are the other way round. Head office is at 25 Massel Road, Beyers Park, Boksburg, 1459, and the eastern corridor is the near ground.

That matters in one practical way. Boksburg to Isando, Spartan, Jet Park, Germiston, Kempton Park, Benoni, Alrode or Elandsfontein is a short run. From the northern suburbs at the wrong time of day it is not, and the difference shows up as how long a hardware fault or a cabling job takes to get attended.

If you are comparing IT companies in Boksburg, the practical questions are the ones we ask ourselves: who answers the phone, how quickly an engineer can be in Jet Park or Benoni, and whether the monthly service report tells you what changed. Namandla Consultants answers all three from its Boksburg office, with managed IT services on a defined SLA for organisations across the East Rand.

THE EAST RAND

What the East Rand actually runs

The eastern corridor is weighted towards logistics, distribution, warehousing, light manufacturing, engineering and freight, with corporate offices attached to operational sites rather than standing alone. The IT work reflects that.

Warehouse and yard networking

Wireless built for scanners and forklift-mounted terminals rather than for laptops. Different design, different access point placement, different roaming configuration.

Operational systems that stop the business

A warehouse management system or a weighbridge going down is a P1 in a way that a head-office file server is not. Severity gets defined against your operations rather than against a generic matrix.

Mixed environments

On-premises servers running a line-of-business application alongside Microsoft 365, which is the most common shape here and the one that needs both skill sets.

Physical infrastructure

Cabling, containment and equipment in environments with dust, heat and vehicle traffic. Enclosure and routing decisions matter more than they do in an office.

Cameras, access control and gate systems on the same network as business systems, usually because each was added when it was needed. Covered on commercial CCTV and biometric access control.

Multi-site links to depots and satellite yards. Covered on multi-site connectivity.

WHAT WE COVER

What we cover

The full managed service: service desk, monitoring, endpoints, patching, Microsoft 365, backup, network and security. Fully managed or co-managed alongside your internal person. Scoped in detail on managed IT services.

Response commitments are the same everywhere: P1 in 30 minutes including after hours through the standby escalation, P2 in 4 business hours, P3 and non-contract work next business day. Business hours are 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday. Monitoring runs continuously.

QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Common questions about IT Support in Boksburg and the East Rand

Do you provide IT support in Boksburg?

Yes. Our head office is in Boksburg, so it is our nearest service area rather than an outlying one. Remote support and onsite attendance across Boksburg, Kempton Park, Benoni, Germiston, Edenvale and the wider East Rand.

Most issues resolve remotely and faster that way. Onsite attendance is for hardware, cabling, installations, site builds and network faults where remote access is unavailable because the network itself is the problem.

How quickly can you get to our site?

Response commitments are P1 in 30 minutes, P2 in 4 business hours, P3 next business day, and those apply to the response rather than to physical attendance. Where attendance is needed, the eastern corridor is a short drive from Boksburg.

We do not publish a guaranteed onsite arrival time, because traffic makes any such number unreliable and we would rather not quote something we cannot hold. What we will tell you at scoping is realistically how long it takes to reach your specific address.

Do you work with warehouses and distribution centres?

Yes, and it is a large share of what we do here. Wireless designed for scanners rather than laptops, operational systems treated as P1 where they stop dispatch, and physical infrastructure specified for dust, heat and vehicle traffic.

The design differences are real. A wireless network that is fine for an office will drop scanner sessions during roaming across a warehouse floor, which reads as an application fault and is not one.

Are you cheaper because you are local?

No. Pricing is the same across Gauteng. What being local changes is attendance time on the work that needs someone physically present, not the rate.

We are not the cheapest option in this market and we do not compete on rate alone. If the decision is rate card only, there will be a lower number available.

Do you support businesses in Kempton Park and Benoni?

Yes. Kempton Park including Isando and Spartan, Benoni, Brakpan, Springs, Nigel, Germiston including Wadeville and Alrode, and Edenvale. All within the same onsite service area.

The airport industrial belt around Isando and Spartan is a particular concentration of the freight, logistics and distribution work we do, and it is roughly fifteen minutes from our office.

What if we have sites outside Gauteng?

Remote support and project delivery run nationally. Onsite attendance is Gauteng only, and for sites elsewhere we manage centrally with contracted local hands for physical work.

That arrangement works reliably for a distributed estate and we help you set up and manage the local relationships. We do not claim national onsite cover, because you would discover the truth of it during an outage.

Is Namandla only an IT support company?

No. Alongside IT managed services we run an Oracle EPM and Hyperion consulting practice, and Namandla Academy provides CPDQS-accredited online training.

If you found this page looking for IT support, the EPM practice is probably not relevant to you. The combination occasionally matters, because infrastructure problems and finance-system problems intersect more often than either discipline admits.

When would we be better off with someone else?

If you are a very small single-site business with straightforward requirements, a local generalist will give you faster informal response at a lower cost and you will be better served.

Our pricing structure reflects the scope and the response commitments, which sets the practical floor. If you have five workstations and a printer, that structure is more than you need. We will say so on the call rather than sending a proposal.
